Community

In addition to the information available at www.opencrx.org there are various openCRX forums and openCRX mailing lists available through Sourceforge, which allow you to interact with the openCRX Team. We also maintain the openCRX Wiki.

If you want to contribute and support our effort to make openCRX the tool of choice for limitless relationship management, you can do so in a variety of ways:

If you have other ideas of how you could support openCRX, .

Feature Acceleration

If you need an openCRX feature (either a new feature or a feature from the roadmap which is not due anytime soon) we might be in a position to allocate additional resources to either develop this new feature or speed up the development of a planned feature. We can also pool requests so that multiple parties can fund a single feature together (see this chart for a high level overview of where you can place feature requests and how new features eventually end up in a new openCRX release)

Share your know how

Take part in the paradigm shift from "knowledge is power" to "knowledge shared is power squared" and share your know how with the openCRX community. We are currently looking for experts in the following fields:

Area of Expertise Details Contact
Livestock Management In the context of a commercial project we will be modelling various aspects of livestock management (pigs, cattle, poultry, etc.) including breeding (e.g. general tracking of genetic traits and defects, inheritance of performance traits), meat production, feeding strategies, environmental data, cost accounting, performance evaluation, risk management, etc.

Your input: submit any information that you think is helpful to designing a good software solution supporting activities in the realm of livestock management, e.g. RFIs, RFPs, collections of requirements, ideas, links to products that you think are excellent, etc.

Important: all results (including UML models) will be available with a BSD-style license

The currently available lifestock models (UML) are published at http://www.opencrx.org/opencrx-lifestock/1.9.7/uml/
